openEHR Luxembourg Affiliate

The openEHR EHRCon is an annual international conference organized by the openEHR Foundation, focusing on advancements in digital health, electronic health records (EHRs), and healthcare interoperability. It brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including clinicians, technologists, policymakers, and patient advocates, to discuss the development and implementation of openEHR standards in healthcare systems worldwide.
EHRCon24 was held at the De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading, UK, and featured a range of presentations and discussions on topics such as data standards, the role of AI in digital healthcare, and patient empowerment. Notable sessions included a keynote by patient advocate ‘e-Patient’ Dave deBronkart on data accessibility, and a fireside chat between Dr. Charlotte Refsum of the Tony Blair Institute and Videha Sharma of the NHS discussing the potential of digital health records in preventative care. The conference also showcased real-world applications of openEHR in countries like Sweden, Germany, Spain, and Nigeria, demonstrating its global impact on healthcare delivery .
The next openEHR International Conference, EHRCon25, is scheduled for October 16–17, 2025, at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) in Barcelona, Spain. This event aims to continue the dialogue on digital health transformation and the role of openEHR in fostering interoperable and patient-centric healthcare systems
